Who are Lions?
Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. More than 1.35 million members across over 200 countries and geographic areas are different in a lot of ways, but share one core belief: community is what you make it.
Lexington Lions has carried that out locally since 1927—through our golf tournament, pancake breakfast, broom sales, eyeglass recycling, and vision programs. Members choose their own level of involvement; what matters is showing up for your neighbors.
Membership types & fees
- New member
- A one-time entrance fee plus annual international dues, billed twice a year. Club and district dues may apply on top of that.
- Transfer member
- No entrance fee if you're transferring in good standing from another club within the last 12 months.
- Family member
- The first family member pays the entrance fee; up to four more qualifying family members in the same household pay no entrance fee and half dues.
- Student
- No entrance fee and half dues through age 30.
- Current or former Leo
- Entrance fee waived, with half dues through age 30.
- Young adult
- Entrance fee waived and half dues through age 30, joining a Leo Lions club.
These categories and fee structures are set by Lions Clubs International and can change over time—we'll confirm the exact amount that applies to you when we follow up. No payment is collected through this form.
